Terry has hogged the pc most of the night so I had to grab it at the last minute.
It seems like its been a long day. The phones have been really quiet and so not many bookings. The business isn't doing very well at the moment. The economic climate has hit our customers and of course it has stopped them using our services. The local council keep on issuing cab licences for new cabs and new drivers as more people become unemployed and they think Taxi driving is an easy option. Not anymore it isn't.
We have been in the business for 8 years now. There used to be half a dozen cars on the rank and now there are about 20 and of course they don't move because people can't afford to use them. Its a dog eat dog business now and the more I try to talk Terry into giving it up, the more he digs his heels in about staying in it.
He is also a bad gambler too, that doesn't help, we had a great contract 3 years ago and it earned us so much money we should be relaxing now but he gambled it all away. For that I can never forgive him. I worked so hard on that, probably harder than him. He forgets I was doing the paperwork (still am of course) as well as driving and doing all the logistics. And he threw it all away.
But that is the past, back to the present. He is still gambling and plays online poker when he isn't working or sleeping or eating so I don't really get much of a social life with him.
My daughter Kelly and Son in law Mark came back today, its great because they only live 3 doors away. They went away for a couple of days over Easter to see if they liked camping, they decided they didn't. That was so funny, she likes her comfort and found it too cold and uncomfortable. Maybe Easter was a little too early in the year for it.
Their little ones Sam 6 and Millie 3 will be coming home from their other Nanny's tomorrow. She lives in Devon and they love to visit Nanny Chuckles and Grandad Bugs in the holidays. I really miss them when they go. They bring such sunshine into my life.
I had a visit from my Son Kevin and his Girlfriend Shell and Grandson Callum 2 today. Kevin has been off work with a mystery illness for 16 months now. He got a bang on the head and suffered blackouts and then seizures. About 2 months ago during another blackout he managed to knock himself out again and miraculously the blackouts stopped. But his employer won't let him back to work until they have given him a medical, so he is still on benefits. He looks after Callum now but for a while there he couldn't do that in case he had a seizure. Shell has been brilliant all this time. She is a care worker for the elderly. A job I don't think I could do.
I am very proud of my kids. They have grown into lovely adults and they are great parents to their kids. I couldn't have chosen better partners for them. They have a lot of contempt for their dad for the way he has treated me over the years and can't understand why I am still here. Neither can I. Maybe as I write this blog, I will find the answer.
Goodnight for now.

Just a quick hello
Hi, I'm glad you have dropped by. I am coming up to 50yrs old and have been married not very happily for 26 years to Terry. I Live in Burntwood in Staffordshire. About 18 Miles North of Birmingham. My 2 lovely kids Kelly and Kevin have grown up and left home and have kids of their own. I have 3 official Grandkids and 1 unnofficial one. I love all of them. But thats what I feel I am here for.
I run Terry's business for him and I know that if we didn't have that I would be a lot happier. But He wouldn't.
I love to pass the time away making cards and working on my Craft Robo. I love Facebook,Twitter and UK Scrappers. They are the only social life I get nowadays. I decided to keep a blog and I will try to make atleast one entry a day and hope its not too boring. Mostly about Cardcraft and family stuff, and about whats happening in the here and now.
Meanwhile I want to try and write a book about whats gone on in my past, cos its been a pretty rough one especially the last 20 years.
